Taoism temples have been an important part of life in Taiwan for over 100 years. Usually, they appear old and the visuals come across heavy. Tsu-Ai Temple wanted to represent itself as a bridge between conventional culture and the younger generation, and become more relatable in the modern society through a new branding approach.

A new way of gathering

The visual identity needed to be used in a variety of situations, and be relatable to old and young audiences alike. Therefore, I created the stamp-like visual language to evoke a free and festive vibe, implemented through the design of the logo, as well as the reimagined traditional pattern serving as support elements.
